Trompe L’Oeil | IOD Paint Inlay (pad of 4 12"x16" sheets) Laurel

This is not a transfer! They are not a decal, film, or decoupage. Paint Inlays are made from proprietary artist-quality paint formulated specifically for decorative use. When you apply the IOD Paint Inlay, paint is embedded into your surface, and then the paper is removed, leaving an often distressed, authentic painted, buttery, almost leather-like design.

For best results use with Chalk Paint™ by Annie Sloan SHOP COLOURS (or a Chalk Paint without Polymers). You can find more detailed and step-by-step instructions on the package but we will give a quick breakdown.

1. Plan your layout for your design, cut design, 

2. Apply an even amount of Chalk Piant™ not larger than 12"x16"

3. While the paint is still wet, lay the Paint Inlay, design side down keeping taut. Spritz with a light mist of water then use a damp sponge or soft cloth to pat down being careful not to move it.

4. Once dry use a sealer to set. Our favourites are Clear Wax or Lacquer by Annie Sloan
