The Passionate Home is Where Her Heart Is

For Immediate Release - May 5th, 2011

tph-media-release-logoLangley, BC: Passion can be often be defined as a powerful or compelling feeling. Over the years Carrie Thachuk’s love of design and assisting friends with decorating dilemmas went from hobby to passion. Her passion grew to become a unique home décor stop in downtown Langley, The Passionate Home. That passion is continuing to grow and The Passionate Home has traded in their old location for a new one.

Located in historic McBurney Lane since 2008 The Passionate Home has already undergone one other expansion shortly after opening its doors in 2006. While the economic climate is not as dreary as it once was, businesses that are demonstrating growth are hard to find. On April 30th they traded in their old location and stepped across the lane into a new space that is almost three times the size of the last.

The new location will allow owner Carrie Thachuk to share more of her one-of-a-kind pieces and provide workshop space for future classes for her clients. “Once again, we are jumping in with both feet!” exclaims Thachuk, owner of The Passionate Home. “We are very excited to be settling into our new home and look forward to welcoming visitors into our new space.”

Filled with French country charm Thachuk and her team at The Passionate Home have a charming collection of upcycled, vintage and chic one-of-a-kind pieces that are hard to resist. Nestled among the custom restyled furniture pieces you will also find hidden gems by local jewellery designers, luxurious soaps and lotions, original artwork and vintage flea market finds.

Still situated in McBurney Lane opposite of their old home; Carrie promises to continue to provide customers with locally crafted and Canadian made products and an experience unlike other home décor stores with their reclaimed and restyled collections.

Established in 2003 and born from a love of breathing new life into old pieces, Carrie Thachuk and The Passionate Home provide clientele a whimsical mix of old and new. Follow Carrie's design adventures through her blog at
