“Have you ever heard of a vision board? A visual representation of your visions for the future, pictures of your goals and dreams. Today, I am so excited to share with you that one of those dreams on my board became reality. For years I’ve had a brochure for Habitat for Humanity pinned to my vision board with no idea what this might look like, but I knew that I wanted to be a part of… to help others “Create a Beautiful Life,” said Thachuk.
20 tickets are available for the event, which will allow people to makeover one of the beautiful furniture pieces currently for sale at Habitat with the globally recognized Chalk Paint ™ by Annie Sloan. Along with of one of The Passionate Home paint experts, participants will recreate a piece of furniture into a show stopper. The masterpieces will be judged by celebrity judges and go up for sale with all proceeds going towards the construction of partnership homes. All sales are open to the public.
This is a great opportunity to give back to the community or plan a team building exercise, as well as to shop at Habitat the day of the event and take home a one-of-a-kind creation. Thanks to the sponsorship of Tara Gentles, Mortgage Expert DLC Canadian Mortgage Experts, the event will also include a free kid’s sign making workshop, led by one of our TPH staff to encourage and guide your young artists using Chalk Paint™. There will also be door prizes and refreshments for purchase from Taste of Heaven Gourmet Sausages and Starbucks Abbotsford.
Please see the attached poster for details! If your company would like to donate a door prize, please contact me directly at carrie@thepassionatehome.com. Let’s transform lives together, sign up today!
Established in 2003, the Passionate Home is located in the quaint McBurney Plaza area of Downtown Langley, British Columbia. The shop is filled with re-purposed, vintage and chic one-of-a-kind furniture and home decor pieces with a touch of French Country that delights clients with whimsical charm. Nestled among the custom, restyled furniture pieces are also giftware by local artisans, jewellery designers, luxurious soaps and lotions, original artwork and vintage flea market finds.
Habitat for Humanity ReStores are home and building supply stores that accept and resell quality new and used building materials. Shopping at a Habitat ReStore is a socially and environmentally conscious decision, as funds generated are used to fund local Habitat for Humanity home building projects and much of what is sold, is product that is new, gently used or customer returns would otherwise end up in a landfill.
